Comprehensive Eye Exams & Screenings

When getting an eye exam, your eye doctor should always evaluate the health of your eyes from front to back!

How many times have you said to yourself, “I can see just fine so I don’t need to see an eye doctor!” or “I can make out the letters on that sign so I’ll wait until next year for my exam.” Unfortunately, one of the most common misconceptions is that if you aren’t experiencing noticeable vision issues, an eye exam just isn’t necessary. But what many of our new patients quickly learn is that regularly scheduled comprehensive eye exams check for things that can prevent you from seeing your best and monitor for changes that could potentially affect your vision.

Although we’ll ultimately determine the best prescription to help you see clearly, Dr. Faye will also use tools and techniques to rule out common or under-diagnosed ocular diseases. Because your eyes are the only organs that can be viewed from the outside of the body, eye doctors are often amongst the first healthcare professionals that can also detect systemic conditions. At Wanderlust Eyecare, we care just as much about what’s happening on the inside as we do about what’s happening on the outside of your eyes!
